How It Started

Carrying our language and history forward

In 1987, with just her children and a few other tribal families, Diana Duro started the Kupa Song and Dance Group. Diana continues to share her knowledge of language, culture, and history, and today the group continues to tell the stories of the Cupeño people through song and dance.
